Dry haircut
A dry haircut means that the hair is cut without first being washed or moistened. In contrast to a wet haircut, where the hair is first washed and moistened, with a dry haircut the hair is cut in its natural state.
Advantages of a dry haircut:
✅ Natural fall visible: The hairdresser can see directly how the hair falls and can adjust it more precisely.
✅ Particularly good for curls & fine hair: With curls, it is easier to judge how they will behave after the cut. Fine hair gets more volume.
✅ No surprise effect: after the cut, the result looks exactly the same without the hair structure changing due to drying.
✅ Faster than a wet haircut: As there is no need to wash your hair, you save time.
When is a dry haircut not ideal?
❌ For very thick or unruly hair, a wet haircut can produce more precise results.
❌ A wet haircut is often more suitable for major style changes (e.g. extreme length changes or layered cuts).
